It’s been a busy time here and I think Cheryl’s just about done in completely.
Let’s see, since my last post, we’ve acquired and unacquired two black kittens, Vector (for the V on his belly) and Radius, both male. They’re on their way to Saskatoon to go to the Saskatoon Ex, and hopefully get adopted. Dorito came for a short time and was adopted out as well.
Cheryl entered a few items into the PAEx and won two second-place ribbons and an honourable mention. She’s pleased. She wasn’t expecting the 2nd place ribbons, but it paid for the entries, so she’s not complaining. She was at the Ex helping Dolores with the SACA booth. The setup and first couple of days were okay, but Friday and Saturday were hard on her. On the plus side, Dolores was kind enough to pick up the computer from Saskatoon on her way through, so we’re up and running on a ‘real’ computer, as Cheryl says. This is good. It makes updating the SACA website much easier and makes editing this site easier, too. All-in-all, Cheryl’s not too sure if she’s pleased that she managed to stay out from 1pm to 10:30pm for 5 days (9:30am to 10:30pm on Tuesday) without coming completely unglued or not. She made a lot of mistakes on Friday and Saturday. She has one “day off” she says, and has to go out on Monday.
Other than having her iPod stolen by a neighbour and Petra’s bike stolen from her workplace, there’s not much been seriously going on. Hopefully, the iPod will be returned soon (another neighbour bought it) and Petra can get a replacement bike so she and Cheryl can go downtown for lunch on Saturdays.
Oh, yeah, there’s another thing new. Cheryl’s on a diet, but I think she fell off during the fair. She hasn’t been recording her meals in the past couple of days, not that she’s eaten much. She says she’s going to put us on a diet, too. <sigh> I’m not looking forward to that.
