Ups and Downs Again

Well, this has been an interesting few weeks. Cheryl hasn’t been awake for much of them and keeps forgetting to write down all the interesting things that happen. I can’t remember them all either, but as far as I remember, things went like this:

We had a good snowfall and the snow really piled up against the front door. We didn’t believe Cheryl when she said we couldn’t go out because of the snow so she opened the door to prove it. We all made a run for the door, Casey and I from the kitchen, Sari from the living room and Smoky from the stairs. We raced to the door and came to a complete four-cat pile-up. That snow was up to our knees! It was white. It was cold. And it was piled up knee-deep on the doorsill! The steps were hidden under white stuff! You couldn’t tell where the grass ended and the sidewalk began! Cheryl left the door open for us and went out to shovel the walkway. It was hard slogging, she said. Once the steps were done, we sat outside for a bit to watch, but it soon got too cold. We went inside where it was warm and Cheryl finished the walkway. She came and gave us treats and closed the front door while she went out to finish the sidewalk, too. It was nap time when she came in, that’s for sure.

Sask Alley Cat Allies is in trouble from what Cheryl says. They don’t have enough money to feed all their kitties and need people to help out. The lady who runs SACA says that it only costs $15 to feed one cat for one month. They need enough food for about 55 cats now, but when what they have runs out, there’ll be nothing left for anyone. Would you be able to help out? The information for donations is on their website. So many kitties would be no end pleased if you gave them a Christmas present of some food.

Diana came into town twice this month, once to get her meds and do some shopping and once to bring Marjorie home! Yay!! I like Diana and Marjorie. They think I’m handsome and they’re right. They tell me that quite often. Cheryl doesn’t. I’m just her sookie man. Humph! Apparently, Marjorie’s not feeling well today. She’s got some sort of tummy bug that’s been going around. I hope it doesn’t stop here. Cheryl’s cranky when she’s sick.

As you can see, this site has a bit of a new look to it. It’ll be fixed up properly some time over the holidays. There was a glitch in the old programme, so Cheryl did an upgrade. And it didn’t hurt at all, she says. If it didn’t hurt, how come she did all that moaning and groaning about it? Anyway, she found something else that will look a bit snazzier, she says. I suppose, but I liked the old image better. It had an important picture on it. Me!

Well, Petra’s on her way home from work and Cheryl’s seriously considering a nap. I think I’ll curl up next to her and purr her to sleep. She likes that.

Toodles!
