I’m Thomas.

Hi, I’m Thomas. I’m a chocolate Siamese and I live with Cheryl, Petra, and Sinjin. I’m also the bearer of bad news. Casey had developed polyps, we thought, in one ear, but it turned out to be more than that. The vet suggested that it might be kinder to put him down now, rather than wait for him to have another, possibly fatal, seizure. Casey wasn’t walking too well, so we know the tumors (not polyps) were starting to affect his brain. Cheryl wasn’t happy about it, but the decision had to be made and she made it. Casey went to the Rainbow Bridge on the 26th of November, 2013. If I can convince Cheryl to type for me, I’ll be keeping up the site from now on. Casey wasn’t much interested in it.

So, what’s new? Well, Cheryl’s been getting out more. She volunteers at the local food bank, 2 hours a day, handing out hampers. Well, she does the data entry work; one of the other guys does the actual handing out of hampers. She likes it most days. It’s not strenuous work, she says, but when it’s a busy day, she tends to get a bit stressed, comes home early and has a nap. A long one. I don’t sleep with her, but I sleep beside the bed on the floor. Sinjin sleeps by her feet. She’s going to miss Casey sleeping behind her butt and demanding that she have a nap by climbing onto the keyboard and/or into her arms for a rock.

Petra’s working at a grocery store right now and has managed to work her way up to Front End, which has something to do with opening and closing the store. She buys the good stuff for treats and kibble because she gets a discount on the stuff. This is not a bad thing.

Well, Cheryl looks like she’s ready for a nap, so I’d better go make sure she’s tucked in. Talk to you later!
